Birthday
Party Planning
by Mrs. Party...
Gail LeinoBe organized by planning the birthday party plenty of time ahead. First, do the guest list. Next, think of fun party themes like western BBQ, fiesta, luau party or Mardi Gras party.
Then, plan the menu taking into account any special food requirements that might be needed by guests. Create a shopping list from the menu or hire a caterer. Also, make a list for the party decorations, party supplies, florists, engraved gifts for prizes, and party favors. Don't forgot the party invitations. Plan party games, activities, and crafts. Decide on the birthday party music and any addition entertainment. Purchase
party supplies online to save time and gas (and
sometimes tax)! Shop for the food and any remaining
needed party decorations. Buy party games and supplies
for the crafts and activities. Rent necessary tables,
chairs, etc. Buy music or hire musicians. For a pool
party, hire certified lifeguards and get lots of beach
balls. If having entertainment, disc-jockeys and bouncy
bouncers, hire them. Organize the seating arrangement.
For sit down dinners, place-cards are a nice touch. Have
flower delivery as late as possible for the freshest
flowers.
Do as much of the setting up in advance as possible. Don't plan on any store runs the day of the event. Make sure your camera has memory (or film) and batteries.Have fun at your party and so will your guest !
